The biggest News for seniors is Medicare Open Enrollment which runs from October 15, 2015 through December 7, 2015.
Also newsworthy is that October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month - spread the word and lets help everyone stay safe on the Internet, particularly older adults. Check out this Internet resource for older adults:

Seniors Resource Guide has 28 local regional Internet directories and a national directory. Each directory has its own database relevant to older adults that covers categories like Senior Housing, Health at Home, Professional Services, Health Services, Care Management Referral Services and Community Resources. However, check out our Senior News and Event web pages, articles and monthly eNewsletters. We have information for seniors, their families and professionals.

We found some interesting news, events and resource links this issue. For example check out Go4Life, an exercise and physical activity campaign from the National Institute on Aging - Click Here and we found a resource website for SNAP - Click Here.
And this group deserves a, Wow!"
Another interesting group that caught our attention has produced a Documentary called "Cyber-Seniors - Connecting Generations." Definitely check out this group and their website. Watch the Trailer for their Documentary. The Trailer alone will put a smile on your face and make you laugh out loud (or LOL, as they say) as these special Senior Citizens encounter cyber obstacles and triumphs. The Documentary is showing across the country and you can request special showings. We will be getting more information on this group!

Note that our eNewsletters are monthly but cover 2 months. Hence this eNewsletter is May-June 2014 and our next issue will be for June-July 2014.
