American Red Cross First Aid App for Android

I added the official American Red Cross First Aid App to my smart phone some months ago. I think this is one app I would recommend. One of the most amazing parts of the app are the videos that review common first aid emergencies. Here is a link to the Google Play store where you can download the app using your smart phone - Click Here. This app also works on iPhone. If you are new to downloading apps here is a quick review from Google of the procedure - Click Here. Keep in mind that some apps are free and some have a small cost. The American Red Cross First Aid App is free but please consider making a donation to The American Red Cross.

Great Article - For-Profit vs Non-Profit Hospice

We reached out to a family owned for-profit hospice serving Boulder, County Colorado to learn more about for-profit verses non-profit hospice. We happen to think that being a for-profit company is good - and in fact when it comes to hospice services there is no difference to the person and family receiving hospice services - please take a moment and read this article - Profit vs. Non-Profit Hospice … Is There a Difference?. Also check out Family Hospice's - Family Hospice Foundation and their annual Butterfly Rembrance event. If you don't know a lot about Hospice and Palliative care please take some time to explore their website. These are services one should know about before they need them.

Free and Open Internet - I got an email today ...

I just want to share that I received an email from Google this week that took me to the website Google - Take Action. I took some time to click around this site and I have to say it is very unsettling to think of what people are proposing to do behind closed doors in regard to the Internet. And we are talking about closed doors that will impact our rights in the United States of America. Aside from our rights, we must be concerned about other people in other nations having their rights censored via the Internet. Please take some time and check it out - Google - Take Action.

Check out the article "Finally – Looking at Physical Inactivity as a True Medical Condition," submitted by Eric Durak, MS - Wellness @ Home Workshops and The Cancer Wellness Company. The first sentence is, "Back in the mid-1980s I read my first article in a publication called Fitness Management on exercise as it could be used with the medical profession ..." It seems like we truly are at the point of exercise being so critically important to healthy aging. Read the full article - Click Here.

Then lets tie this healthy aging into the government website - www.HealthyPeople.gov - Did you know this website even existed? I did not. We mention it as part of New Year’s Resolutions.
